The American Joint Committee on Cancer (AJCC) has created a set of resource materials designed to provide in-depth information for doctors, medical professionals staging cancer patients, and cancer registrars abstracting cancer cases.
The 8th Edition Cancer Staging Manual brings together all the currently available knowledge on staging of cancer at various anatomic sites. This can be purchased as a hardcover or as a Kindle e-book.
Chapter 1: Principles of Cancer Staging provides overall rules for AJCC cancer staging that apply across all tumor sites.
The Version 9 Cancer Staging System is an update to the 8th Edition replacing selected disease site(s) on an annual basis. The Version 9 Cancer Staging Protocols are presented in a streamlined, easy-to-use format. Available now for individual purchase from Amazon as an e-book or print paperback. Additional electronic options and information is available.
