Program Administration
Program Executive Director—Typically a Trauma Surgeon or Emergency Medicine Physician.
Program Manager—Typically the Injury Prevention Coordinator. In new programs, this position is not absolutely essential if the Director has time.
Front-Line Staff, Case Managers, Intervention Specialists
Great candidates are often found working in a case management capacity at community based organizations.
Strongly consider panel interviews and involving people from the community in the process.
As the program grows, it is very useful to have a Supervising Case Manager.
New programs often have MOUs with community based organizations for the case management services. This allows for time to secure funding, demonstrate value, and build bridges to community.
It is quite important to have at least two Case Managers to start. A lone soldier is a very difficult feat!
