Committee on Global Engagement International Subcommittee

The ACS H.O.P.E. International Subcommittee oversees the progress of the ACS H.O.P.E. Surgical Training Collaboratives in Hawassa, Ethiopia, Lusaka, Zambia, and Kigali, Rwanda. This subcommittee also works with the College of Surgeons of East, Central, and Southern Africa (COSECSA) to coordinate the annual ACS-COSECSA Women Scholars Award. A new initiative of this subcommittee is to increase communication across the sites and develop virtual ACS programs accessible to all of the collaboratives since many of their education needs are similar.
